CIBSE, ASHRAE – The foundation in the design is knowledge and experience.
To carry out the correct HVAC installation project you need to have industry knowledge and experience. A Draftsman or a CAD operator does not design but prepare drawings. We often meet pseudo designers who have knowledge of software for designing or prepare CAD drawings – unfortunately engineering knowledge about installations in such cases is very poor and companies can lose a lot. At the same time we have to say that the designer should not only know the principles of design installations, but also legal, industry and building regulations, good practices, i.e. CIBSE, ASHRAE, BESA, BSRIA, CDM, BS, B&ES and others.
In our design team – REMARS Consulting Engineers – design work is carried out by engineers with a minimum engineering bachelor degree (very often master’s degree) in the field of HVAC, mechanical engineering or environmental engineering and minimum 5 years experience.
